The 2014 International Workshop on Neural Computation and Machine Intelligence was hold by UBRI (USTC-Birmingham Joint Research Institute on Intelligent Computation and Its Applications) from 14th to 15th July, 2014. In this workshop, 9 experts gave reports on the frontier of Computational Intelligence to more than 100 participants who were from nationwide.

Prof. Xin Yao concluded the workshop and spoke highly of it. This workshop brought an opportunity for students to learn more about the research on the computational intelligence and offered an opportunity for experts to exchange their research achievements. This workshop also provided valuable guidelines to researchers of School of Computer Science and Technology of USTC, and improved the international impact of Computer Science of USTC had on the world.
